	Tadao Ando	SP 5"x7"	Born in Osaka in 1941. Worked as a truck driver and boxer before becoming one of Japan's foremost architects. His works include the Water Temple in Awaji Island, Japan; Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, Fort Worth, Texas; Siddhartha Children and Women Hospital, Butwal, Nepal; Morimoto restaurant in the Chelsea Market, Manhattan, and a number of residences and rowhouses in Japan.
	Sergio Aragonés	SP 5"x7"	Sergio Aragonés Domenech is a cartoonist and writer. He has been a driving force behind MAD Magazine since the early 1960s, and has been a contributor to other comic magazines, including Plop! He is the creator of the comic barbarian character Groo the Wanderer, and is the author of a book of cartoons titled Madly Yours. Aragonés is the recipient of a number of awards for cartooning and writing.
	Gus Arriola	Signed Art Card 5"x7"	Arriola, born in Arizona in 1917, went to work for MGM in the 1930s, and eventually became known for his popular comic strip "Gordo" which he sold to United Features in 1941. He retired from the comic strip in 1985.
	Peter Blake	Index Card 3"x5"	One of Europe's Pop artists, Sir Peter Blake is known to most as the designer of the famous album cover for the Beatles' Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band. He is a famed watercolourist and illustrator, a designer of a number of album sleeves, and was knighted in 2002.

	Botero	SP 5"x7"	Fernando Botero Angulo (born 1932 in Medellín, Antioquia) is a Colombian figurative artist. His paintings and sculptures are noted for their exaggerated proportions and the corpulence of the human and animal figures.
	Louise Bourgeois	SP 4"x6"	Born in 1923. Prolific sculptor of abstract forms and assemblages, working in clay, bronze and wood. Has had many one-woman shows and is represented in all major U.S. museums.
	Art Clokey	SP 5"x7"	Creator of Gumby, which debuted on the Howdy Doody show in 1956, and had its own show by the following year. Clockey is a pioneer in the art of Claymation.
	Chuck Close	Index Card 3"x5"	American painter known for his super-realistic interpretations of big city life. His subjects include street scenes, reflections on high-rise glass buildings, and restaurant fronts and other icons of urban life.
	John DeAndrea	SP 5"x8"	Born in Denver, Colorado in 1941. Studied at the University of Colorado at Boulder. Known for his realist castings of the human figure, made from fiberglass and resins painted with latex acrylic paints. His work is exhibited in all major galleries and museums.
	Dick DeBartolo	SP 5"x7"	Dick DeBartolo is one of the most prolific writers of satire for Mad Magazine. He has appeared in issues dating back to 1966. His compatriots at the magazine include Sergio Aragones, Al Jaffe, Dave Berg and Don Martin. He and Leo Laporte produce a podcast called The Daily Giz Wiz, a daily discussion of technology and gadgets. He also has a periodic "gadget" segment on ABC World News Now.
	Jim Dine	SP 5"x8"	Jim Dine was born in Cincinnati in 1935. He attended the University of Cincinnati, and moved to New York in 1959. He became involved with what were referred to as "Happenings," sponsored events in which avant garde art or concepts were shown. Dine is associated with the Pop Art movement.
	Richard Estes	Index Card 3"x5"	American artist, born in 1932. Raised in Chicago, where he studied at the Art Institute. Known for his super-realistic depictions in oil and acrylic of daily urban life. His work has the appearance of large photomurals, and subjects include street scenes, automobiles and restaurant counters.
	Glenna Goodacre	Index Card 3"x5"	American sculptor best known for her design for the Sacagawea dollar that was put into circulation in 2000. Attended Colorado College and then the Art Students League in New York City. She is also known for her Vietnam Women's Memorial in Washington, DC. Her daughter, Jill Goodacre, is married to the singer Harry Connick Jr.
	Red Grooms	Index Card 3"x5"	Born in 1937 in Nashville. American painter, printmaker, sculptor and film maker. His artwork is known for its fanciful characteristics and colorful display, and he is exhibited in all major U.S. and European museums.
	Al Hirschfeld	Index Card 3"x5"	Born in 1903. American illustrator and charicaturist, widely known for his drawings of film and music celebrities, from the very early 1920s all the way through to the 21st century. His work has been seen in many magazines. He died in 2003.
	Robert Indiana	SP 5"x7"	American artist best known for his LOVE painting, which was an icon of the 1960s hippie generation and has been seen on everything from posters to postage stamps.
	Al Jaffee	SP 5"x7"	Long-time member of the MAD Magazine staff and the genius behind the back page "fold-ins."
	Ramon Kelly	Index Card 3"x5"	Ramon Kelly was born in Cheyenne, Wyoming, one of ten children. He attended the Colorado Institute of Art and works in the impressionist style. He is a member of the American Watercolor Society and is a member of the Pastel Society of America Hall of Fame.
	Daniel Libeskind	Index Card 3"x5"	Polish-born architect, working primarily in the United States. Born in 1946. His works include the Jewish Museum in Berlin, the Imperial War Museum in England, the addition to the Denver Art Museum, and is working on the redevelopment of the World Trade Center site.
	Maya Lin	SP 5"x5"	Maya Lin, born in 1959 in Ohio, is an American artist and sculptor best known for her design for the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, D.C.
	George Lundeen	SP 5"x8"	American Sculptor. Born in Nebraska. Studied in Florence, Italy under the Fulbright Scholarship. Has sculpted a number of pieces nationally, including "The Players" located at the Univrsity of Nebraska, and portrait busts of Nebraska Senators displayed at the Mebraska Hall of Fame at the State Capitol Building. He is the recipient of numerous awards and is exhibited worldwide.
	Ranan Lurie	SP 5"x8"	One of the most renowned cartoonists in the world, Lurie has been the recipient of numerous awards including the Front Page Award, The Art Designer's Award, and the Headliner's Award. His political cartoons have been published in Life Magazine, Time, and Newsweek.
	Patrick McDonell	Index Card 3"x5"	Patrick McDonnell, born in 1956, is the creator of the daily comic strip Mutts, and his pals Earl and Moochie. McDonnell has also illustrated Russell Baker's Sunday Observer column in the New York Times magazine and created the monthly comic strip Bad Baby, for Parents Magazine.
	Kenneth Noland	Index Card 3"x5"	Kenneth Noland, born in 1924 in North Carolina, is an American painter. Attended the Black Mountain College. Works primarily in acrylics in the abstract expressionistic style. His works have been exhibited in all major galleries and museums.
	Claes Oldenberg	Index Card 3"x5"	American artist, born in Stockholm, Sweden in 1929. Moved to New York City as a child. Attended Yale University, and later the Art Institute of Chicago. In New York he became involved with the avant garde artists of the 1960s and created a number of "Happenings," which combined art with theater. In 1961 he opened a a shop called "The Store." He is known for his huge, overblown "soft" sculptures of everyday objects, and his works include Giant Clothespin, in Philadelphia, and Spoonbridge and Cherry, in Minneapolis.
	Bob Ragland	ALS	American artist working in Colorado. Known primarily for his scenes of everyday life, produced in oils and acrylics, and his whimsical metal sculptures depicting fanciful human figures.
	Leni Riefenstahl	SP 3"x5"	Berta "Leni" Riefenstahl (1902-2003) was a famous and immensely popular German actress, director and filmmaker. Born in Berlin. Began her acreer as a dancer. She heard Adolf Hitler speak at a rally in the 1930s, and was hired by him to promote the message of the Nazi regime. This she did through her propoganda films. Her film Triumph of Wills is still viewed as a cinematic masterpiece. After WWII she spent time in a French detention camp. Upon release she devoted the rest of her life to photography and filming marine life.
	Marco Sassone	Index Card 3"x5"	Marco Sassone was born in Campi Bisenzio, in 1942. He moved with his family to Florence in 1954, and there he met painters Ottone Rosai and Ugo Maturo, who encouraged him to follow his interest in art. He attended the Istituto Galileo Galilei. At the age of 25 he was selected to exhibit at Lo Sprone Cultural Center in Florence, Italy. He settled in California in the 1960s and bcame a regular exhibitor at the Festival of the Arts at Laguna Beach. He has received the Order to the Merit of the Italian Republic, and a gold medal from the Italian Academy of Arts.
	Ronald Searle	Index Card 3"x5"	British cartoonist, born in 1920 in Cambridge. Went to work or the Cambridge Daily News, and began a series of 195 weekly cartoons. During WWII, Searle was taken prisoner of war in Singapore. He was on the foced labor detail that built the railway from Ban Pong to Burma. He was released at the end of the war. He has illustrated books, but his cartoons were his primary focus. He has worked for Punch Magazine, Holiday Magazine, and opened his own publishing company, Perpetua Books. He has also illustrated for films, TV Guide, and The New Yorker Magazine.
	Fredrich St. Florian	SP 5"x8"	American architect, born in Austria in 1932. Attended the Graz University of Technology, and at Columbia University, on a Fulbright Scholarship. Most widely known for his design of the National World War II Memorial in Washington, DC.
	Gary Trudeau	Index Card 3"x5"	American cartoonist, born in 1948. Attended St. Paul's School and Yale University. Is best known for his daily comic strip Doonesbury, which issyndicated in 1,400 newspapers around the world. Trudeau is the first cartoonist to win a Pulitzer Prize for editorial cartooning. He is married to TV newswoman Jane Pauley.
